Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting study activities for the Avanzando Caminos (Leading Pathways) Hispanic/Latino Cancer Survivorship study conducted in collaboration between the Mays Cancer Center at UT Health San Antonio and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Centre at the University of Miami.
Under general supervision, the RA will assist with screening medical records to identify potential participants, recruit, consent, and interview bilingual study participants, conduct study study visits as per protocol, input data into REDCap, Velos, and Excel, and support all processes and procedures related to the study protocol and its implementation. They will work with the research team and the study coordinator to prepare project summaries and progress reports.
This position will support other projects, community outreach, and education activities if needed.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, health science, or another health-related field is required.
Experience:
None required.
Preferred:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
- Basic experience interacting with patients; recruitment of participants and IRB requirements.
- Proficiency in excel, REDCap, and conducting gap analyses to identify protocol inconsistencies.
